I Miss You

i miss the old you
i miss the guy who swept me off my feet
and all it took was the tip of a cowboy hat and a "how are you lil' lady?"

i miss the guy who would sing for me just to make me laugh
i miss the guy with the heaviest twang imaginable
and no matter how much he hated it he kept it for me

i miss the one who sat there and listened with  smile on his face while i blabbed on about a book he didnt care about
i miss the guy that wasnt afraid to be different and go against what everyone else was doing
and he always told me not to change for them but to be me

i miss the one who laughed and shook everything off
i miss the one who always saw the silver lining
and always pointed it out to me

i miss the guy that would go to any length just to have the chance to talk to me
i miss the guy who wasnt capable of saying hi to me at that stupid party
but atleast showed me his amazing smile

i miss the one that almost cried when he said "i love you" and i fainted
i miss the one who always told me excactly how he was feeling
no matter what i might think of him

i miss the guy that waited for me
i miss the one who sat around till i was ready
hes the one that accepts my walls are up and i dont know how to tear them down
